Fee standard for towing small vehicles
1. Towing fee:
Basic fee of NT$1,500 for towing distance within 10 kilometers starting from the location of towing. For large or heavy motorcycles, considering the same method used for towing small vehicle by lifting the front wheel and towing with the rear wheel on the ground is not applicable, Tier-2 handling charge of NT$900, will be charged additionally. The basic fee will be NT$2,400, and extra NT$50 per kilometer will be charged for the mileage over 10 kilometers.
2. Handling fee:
- Tier 1: NT$1,800
- Vehicle overturn
- Stuck on the upper or lower side slope
- Crash into the chassis of a large vehicle
- Fall onto the valley
- Mounted on the crash barrier
- Tier 2: NT$900
- Fall into ditch
- Broken rear wheel
- Rear wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicle
- Vehicle with low chassis between 10-15 cm
- Chassis stuck in bulging obstacle
- Small truck with earth's axis or counter shaft removed
- Unable to be towed with rear wheel on the ground due to mechanical factor
- If two different situations are involved at the same time, it shall be charged with the situation with higher rate.
- The fees above do not include towing fee, and towing fee shall follow the towing standard above.
- No handling fee will be charged for other minor accidents (except tier 1 and tier 2).
3. Waiting fee:
When towing the vehicle involved with accident to the police station for accident statement, a fee of NT$150 per hour will be charged when the tow truck is waiting. If the time is less than 30 minutes, it will be no charge. If the waiting time more than 1 hour, the extra time over the hour will be regarded and calculated as a full hour.
4. The charge includes business tax, at-risk pay during operating towing, holiday and nighttime surcharge, toll fee, and other costs.

Note: The table is only applicable to the towing of breakdown vehicles and vehicles involved with accidents. The handling fee at site is excluded.
2. Additional fee (it will only be executed after agreement of the vehicle owner or driver):
- Brake bleeding (pressure release): NT$1,050
- Removing earth's axis or counter shaft: NT$1,050
- Using vehicle lifter (applicable situation: wheel shaft falling off, gearbox falling off, broken coconut shaft that required vehicle lifter for towing operation): Maximum NT$5,250 for vehicle more than 15 tons and maximum NT$3,675 for vehicles below 14.9 tons.
3. Waiting fee:
When towing the vehicle involved with accident to the police station for accident statement or when the tow truck waits the passenger shuttles, a fee of NT$160 per hour will be charged when the tow truck is waiting. If the time is less than 30 minutes, it will be no charge. If the waiting time more than 1 hour, the extra time over the hour will be regarded and calculated as a full hour.
