Alishan Cherry Blossom Season is going to start boomingly on March 10, and the landscape of floral sea will last until April 10! To ensure traveling quality and smooth traffic, Highway Bureau implements traffic control measures on Provincial Highway 18 (Alishan Highway) between 66K Lake Bottom and 88.2K Alishan Forest Recreation Area on March 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, and 31 as well as April 4, 5, 6, and 7; 12 days in total. From 6am to 11am every day, it is closed to small vehicles. Tourists who travel here by car should park at 61K Leye Service Area during the restricted hours and take the special shuttle bus.
A ride on the special shuttle bus will be entitled to a discount admission ticket to Alishan Forest Recreation Area in NT$150 (original price: NT$200). The public are welcomed to purchase admission tickets and bus tickets at Leye Service Area or from the website of “Forest Pass”, the website of “Alishan Easygo”, and website of “Lion Travel”, the website of “ibon”, and 7-11 all over Taiwan. Taking the special shuttle to the park area for cherry blossom viewing is not only convenient but also allows the tourists to enjoy discounts. We welcome and encourage the public to pre-order the tickets! In addition, traveling to Alishan by “7329” HSR Chiayi - Alishan,”7322” Taiwan Railway Chiayi Station – Alishan, “1835” Taipei Bus Station – Alishan, and “6739” Sun Moon Lake – Alishan is also entitled to the discounted admission ticket in NT$150 upon presenting the bus ticket.
Groups taking tourist buses must purchase admission tickets at 29K, Provincial Highway 18 (300 meters away from Wuhuliao Bridge) during the control hours. The person in charge of purchasing tickets will be the only one who can get off the bus at the site. Please have ticket types required for the group and relevant documents ready in advance to speed up the processing time.

Our office has supervised transportation providers to complete vehicle safety check, maintenance, driver training, and other preparation so that the public can ride with peace of mind and enjoy the blossoms.
