Content | Provincial Highway Line 2 68K (Beining Section)has been handed over by Keelung City Government (Picture 1) to the Maintenance Engineering Division, District 1, Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Communications for Slope protection Since August 31, 103 after a rockfall on the side slope caused vehicle damage . The slope geology at this place belongs to the interbedded sand and shale, and it is easy to produce rock fall due to sea breeze erosion. Since 108 years, we have used unloaded Lidar and UAV to conduct 3D numerical modeling of slope terrain, and supplemented with ground Lidar to Depict the inverted boulders, and then build a complete 3D terrain numerical simulation map (Figure 2). the Maintenance Engineering Division, District 1, Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Communications handles UAV aerial photography every season or before and after special events, and compares the aerial photography data with the 3D terrain numerical simulation map to assess the hazard range (Figure 3), the trajectory of falling rocks and the height of the bounce (Figure 4), Then set up corresponding protection measures, and regularly conduct side slope inspections, remove pumice stones, and maintain the safety of pedestrians on the road.
