Prepare the following information and fee when picking up the license plate
1.Identity documentation
*Application in one’s own name
Submit the vehicle owner’s original National ID card (military personnel ID or expatriate residence permit)
*Name of company or business entity applicant
Official document from the competent authority approving the registration of a company or business entity
(including a registration form for companies)
When an applicant submits a photocopy of an approved registration certificate (in the name of the company or business entity), the submission should also include photocopies of the latest business tax payment certificate for the company or business entity。
2.The new license plate registration document after passing a vehicle inspection(In duplicate)
*Vehicle manufacturing plant or importer vehicle delivery inspections。
The license plate must be picked up within a year。
*Motor vehicle office vehicle inspections。
The license plate must be picked up within a month of the vehicle passing its inspection。
3.Proof of provenance
*Domestic vehicles: Delivery certificate for domestically manufactured vehicles。
*Imported vehicles: Customs import excise tax payment (exemption) certificate。
If the aforementioned documents are lost, the original manufacturing plant or importer must provide certified documentation。
If the main office of the original manufacturing plant or importer is no longer in business, the industrial
association for mini electric two-wheel vehicles is required to provide certified documentation。
4.Uniform invoice
*Must clearly indicate the vendee and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)。
*If documentation is lost the original vehicle owner can submit an affidavit。
5.Compulsory auto liability insurance certificate with a validity of 30 days or more。
6.Seal。
NT$ 300 for license plate。
NT$ 150 for vehicle license。
