The Kaohsiung Motor Vehicles Office has launched the "Motorcycle Training Course with a Chance to Win a 10,000 NT Dollar Gift Voucher" in 2023, which is limited to Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Penghu, and Taitung. The aim is to encourage motorcycle drivers to comply with traffic rules and cultivate defensive driving concepts. The event is intended to encourage those who are preparing to apply for a motorcycle license to participate.

On average, there are 360,000 motorcycle accidents in Taiwan every year, with those aged 18 to 24 accounting for 30% of the total, which is a significantly high percentage. However, a study by the Directorate General of Highways found that attending a motorcycle training course before applying for a license can reduce the risk of violating traffic rules by 56% and the risk of accidents by 35%.

To raise awareness of the benefits of attending a motorcycle training course, individuals who register for the "Motorcycle Training Course" in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Penghu, and Taitung this year, and pass the training, will not only receive a training subsidy of NT$1,300 from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, but also have the chance to participate in a lottery, with the grand prize being a voucher worth NT$10,000. Additionally, those who purchase a motorcycle from KYMCO's stores in Kaohsiung and Pingtung will receive an extra NT$1,000 gift card from Carrefour.
