【Report Evens】

Please feel free to contact our Civil Service Ethics Office when you encounter the following situations:

  • External offices suspected of colluding bids or improperly restricting bid specifications and qualifications when handling purchases.
  • External offices involving illegal facts such as false acceptance or floating quotation amount when handling engineering and supervision procurement cases.
  • Demanding, taking or promising to take bribes or other unlawful profits by an act that belongs to the official duties.
  • Employees use relative status or collude with specific objects to obtain improper benefits.
  • Fraudulently making others to deliver personal property or a third person's property under cover of legal authority.
  • Employees use their power to accept gifts or entertainment from manufacturers or people.
  • Stealing or misappropriating public equipment or properties.
  • Falsification or alteration of certificates or official documents to obtain personal benefits, which will harm others.
  • You have suggestions to improve the work process that is prone to abuse.
  • Offices or external offices in the Highway Bureau involving leaks or violations of confidentiality regulations in the process of handling business.

 

【Report Reward】

According to The Anti-Corruption Informant Rewards and Protection Regulation, informants who reported to prosecutor offices, judicial police authority or government employee ethics units of undiscovered facts of corruption & malfeasance cases as stated in the previous article, shall be issued a reporting Reward in accordance with this regulation.

The Prize shall be increased by one-half portion if there are more than five offenders whom the Court judged as guilty in the same corruption and malfeasance case by report. The maximum shall be New Taiwan Dollar 10 Million.

Awarding Criteria for Informant Prize on Corruption & Malfeasance Case

Imprisonment of more than 5 years and less than 7 years New Taiwan Dollar 2M to 2.8M
Imprisonment of more than 3 years and less than 5 years New Taiwan Dollar 1.4M to 2M
Imprisonment of more than 1 year and less than 3 years New Taiwan Dollar 0.8M to 1.4M
Imprisonment of less than 1 year, detention and fine New Taiwan Dollar 0.3M to 0.8M

A one-third portion of the Prize shall be awarded pursuant to the criteria specified in the Schedule if the corruption and malfeasance case is judged guilty by the court; its balance shall be awarded if the case is judged guilty by the Court.

The Prize that has been awarded may not be seized back unless the Informant falsely accused others of involving corruption and malfeasance case occurs.

【Informants Protect】

According to The Anti-Corruption Informant Rewards and Protection Regulation, the report-accepting authority shall keep confidentiality on Informant’s name, date of birth, address, residence or agency but not limited to the aforementioned statement of report and records, and maintain them additionally without attaching them into the investigation file. Parties who disclose the aforementioned materials without reason shall be punished pursuant to the Criminal Code or other laws.
