Regarding the media report "Did they deliberately fail car inspection? The public questions” case:

The Keelung Motor Vehicles Office conducts vehicle slip tests based on computer instrument readings. The entire process follows current inspection instrument configuration and is primarily conducted through self-service registration, with manual registration as a supplement. Upon completing registration, the vehicle undergoes a full instrument test. During the slip test, the value of said vehicle was every kilometer minus 10 meters, deviating from the standard value by plus or minus 5 meters per kilometer. Therefore, said vehicle was determined to be unqualified.

Currently, no such situation has been reported in which motor vehicle offices benefit from proxy service providers.

This Office further urges that vehicle inspections be carried out in accordance with regulations and encourages the public to please contact the supervisory staff with any questions. Furthermore, if required, re-inspection of the vehicle can be done free of charge within 7 days.
