The Taipei Motor Vehicles Office of the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Transportation and Communications has stated that the online application for motor vehicle management services has become more varied for the Internet generation. In addition to in-person payment and inquiry at the counter, online inquiries and payments can also be made through the Motor Vehicle Driver Information Service website, Motor Vehicle Driver Information Service APP, e-Bill, JKOPAY, and Easy Wallet. Despite these multiple payment options, every year some people still forget to pay on time and incur fines ranging from NT$300 to NT$3,000. To prevent financial loss, the office suggests that people apply for the agreed account deduction service.

The so-called "agreed account deduction" means that during the annual (or quarterly) gasoline-fuel fee payment period, payment will be automatically deducted from the valid agreed account at a financial institution. There is no need to worry about not receiving the payment notice or forgetting to pay and then incurring fines. This method saves time and the transportation costs of going to the motor vehicles office, making fuel payment both more environmentally friendly and more convenient. All vehicle owners are encouraged to make use of this service. If the vehicle undergoes a transfer of ownership, scrapping, or cancellation, the scheduled deduction is automatically terminated to prevent repeated charges.

Please visit the Motor Vehicle Driver Information Service website for related applications. If you have any questions, please contact the office, which provides bilingual services. Telephone: (02)2763-0155 ext. 400; fax: (02)2761-7750.
