In an effort to accommodate inspection matters, starting from March 9th, 2023, the vehicle inspection lanes at Taipei City Motor Vehicles Office will be changed to the following:
For vehicles to be inspected in person, please go to the 3rd lane.
For vehicles to be inspected by proxy, please go to the 1st lane.
The Taipei City Motor Vehicles Office would like to remind everyone that due to limited building space, the entrance to the first inspection lane has a height restriction of 2 meters and is only available for vehicles under that height. Vehicles exceeding the aforementioned height limit should use the third inspection lane. Furthermore, since each lane has limited space, we kindly ask all drivers to drive carefully to prevent damaging their vehicles and the surrounding equipment.
In order to save you valuable time, if you only need to carry out regular inspection services, you may also go to a private inspection company. Under the Taipei City Motor Vehicles Office, each inspection company provides car inspection services on Saturday mornings (8:00 am to 12:00 pm, except for continuous holidays of three days or more).
