At around 2:00 a.m. on January 2, 2023, a tractor truck crashed into the steel frame of the roadside sign post at 6.8 kilometers westbound on Taiwan Expressway 62. Fortunately, the driver was slightly injured. This incident fell on the New Year's Day holidays, the standby transportation security personnel of our Keelung district maintenance office worked and the cleaning team arrived at the scene very quickly to remove the scattered objects. Our Keelung district maintenance office will clarify the responsibility of the accident for the driver of the vehicle in the future and ask for compensation for the repair costs of related road facilities.

We remind the drivers of large vehicles on the Taiwan Expressway 62 to slow down moderately, do not over speed, overweight, and never drive when you are tired. Vehicle machinery should be inspected and maintained regularly and frequently. If accidents cause unspecified passers-by injured or damage to road facilities, they will face related claims and legal liabilities.
