According to Article 63 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act:

  1. Where any of the circumstances under Paragraph 1or 2 of  Article 33, Paragraph 1 of Article 38, Article 40, Article 45, Sub-paragraphs 1 to 3 of Article 47, Article 48, Article 49, or Sub-paragraphs 1 or 2, Paragraph 2 of Article 60 applies, the driver will receive 1 penalty point.
  2. Where any of the circumstances under Sub-paragraphs 1 to 4, Paragraph 1 of Article 29, Paragraph 1 or 2 or 4 of Article 29-2 or Sub-paragraph 1 or 2, Paragraph 1 of Article 30 applies, the driver will receive 2 penalty points.
  3. Where any of the circumstances under Article 43, Article 53 or Article 53-1 applies, the driver will receive 3 penalty points.
  4. It won't be penalty point, if the circumstances under the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act and has be suspended or revoked.
  5. If the same driver has received 6 or more penalty points for violations within 6 months, his/her driver’s license will be suspended for 1 month. If the driver has his/her driver’s license suspended twice within 1 year and has again received any penalty point, his/her driver’s license will be revoked.
