| 1. Summary: |
| “Provincial Highway Bridges Seismic Restraint Emergency Reinforcement Construction Project” is focusing on the public bridges which are more than 6 meters long(Incl. the special specification bridge defined by MOTC, such as cable stayed bridges, arch bridges, or the bridges with over 150 meters span length) , finished and opened to the public ( Incl. West-coast express highway and East-west express highway), but haven’t passed the needed seismic restraint standard (ex. Lack of available seat width, lack of ductility ratio) are required to conduct a reinforcement project. |
| The schedule of the project is from 2009~2012, including 399 bridges reinforcement, and 117 bridges improvement. In 2009, 122 bridges are expected to be reinforced. In 2010, 138 bridges are expected to be reinforced. In 2011, 72 bridges are expected to be reinforced. In 2012, 67 bridges are expected to be reinforced. |
