Ⅳ.Statistics of Highway Maintenances
 Highway： directorate General of highways maintenances provincial highways over 4,793 kilometers, county road over 3,358 kilometers. DGH are in charge of 2,625 kilometers substitute -maintenance county road (Taoyuan County, Xinzhu County, Miaoli County, Hualian County are not included). DGH also supervised local government for county road maintenance for 7,418 kilometers. From 1991 to date, Provincial highway maintenance have increased 889 kilometers, growing a ratio of 23%.
 Bridges： Directorate General of highways maintains 2,709 bridges of provincial highway, 1,316 Substitute-maintenance county bridges, in total of 4,025 bridges. From July,1991 to date, 1,295 new provincial highway bridges and 322 county bridges were built, in total of 1,617 bridges, growing a ratio of 67%.
 Tunnels： DGH maintains 270 Tunnels.
